About Peter

Peter Penhallow began playing piano and imitating Elvis Presley at the age of three, and he took up guitar at age nine.

In his youth, he cowrote, coproduced and/or played in sessions with Eddy Offord, Andy West, Mark O'Connor, Mario Cippolina, Bill Gibson, Vince Welnick, Zach Gill, and many others.

Most recently, Peter was the keyboardist on the Dave Getz "Breakaway" CD, and can be heard on the newly released Adrianne Serna CD, "Let It Shine".

Peter is the award winning producer of 5 albums for young children, and has been a popular musical director for Children's and Community Musical Theater in Marin County, California, for over 30 years, and has more than 100 productions to his credit. He is also the award winning bandleader of the Liddypudlians, who perform Beatle songs, complete with horns, strings, and chorus, once a year, for San Anselmo's annual Salute to the Beatles.

Peter is also the author of 4 best-selling books of beginning guitar repertoire.

Frog Went A Courtin'!

On March 8, 2011, I became the recipient of the "Unsung Hero" Award, presented by the Quality of Life Commision for the 10 years of music, fun and joy the Liddypudlians have brought to Creek Park, playing Beatles music in what has become a San Anselmo summer tradition.

Adrianne Serna CD. As a little fly on the wall, as well as guest keyboardist, I can tell you this is a very fine effort.

The Dave Getz Breakaway CD, featuring a never-before-heard song co-written by Janis Joplin is available at Big Brother's site, and on ITunes.
